















































SACRED STEPS - Slient retreat for men
Sacred Steps is a 4 day silent retreat for men. Building on the strength and experience from The Warrior Within men’s experiences, Stone Thrower present Sacred Steps.
This retreat is about internal exploration and self awareness
For the first 2.5 days (approximately 60 hours) of the retreat, a vowel of silence will be taken (no speaking or talking).
For the last 2 days of the retreat, 2 days of talking will be reintegrated with sharing circles & groups tasks to unpack and reflect on our shared experience and journey.
Who is this for?
This retreat is designed for men that want to take part in a unique challenge. Men that seek to improve and enhance their well-being to better serve their partners, families, children and community. It is for men that enjoy time in nature. Men that consider themselves ‘active relaxers’ - they like to keep busy to relax. This experience is for Men that want to refine and amplify their sense of awareness,self control and internal dialogue.

Starts Friday 30th May 10:30 AM (meet at Karamatura, West Auckland)
Finishes Monday 2nd June 10:00 AM (Piha)
Day 1 vowel of silence. 10-15km hikoi/walk. Camping
Day 2 Vowel of silence continued. 10-15km hikoi/walk. camping. Cooking own meals.
Day 3 vowel of silence ends 11:00 am. 10- 15km hikoi, arrive at accommodation. Catered meals.
Day 4 Event ends 10:00 AM Reflection
Event Location:
Waitākere ranges, West Auckland
** We are aware of the many track closure in the Waitakere Ranges. Are hikoi/walking path has been planned to use only open and accessible pathways, respecting the closures and safety of the Kauri.
Car pooling and transport will be organized to the start and finish of the event within the group.
Event info
You will need:
* a moderate level of fitness as we will be walking 12-18km per day.
* A decent pack to carry: (each night we will be setting up a campsite)
* A small tent
* bedding/sleeping bag
Wet weather gear (we will be walking rain or shine)
Sturdy hiking footwear
Jandals or similar to wear in camp
a small portable cooker
a small pot to cook a meal for yourself
Water bottles (enough to drink 3l-4l per day)
Warm clothes/layers
togs & Towel
an open heart and mind
Each participant will be supplied with food for the duration of the event. You will be required to cook your own food during the first half of the event at small campsites with your own cooking gear. The second half of the event will feature catered meals. A more detailed gear list will be emailed to you once you purchase your ticket.
